Chaa Peena — masala chai, matcha and teaware from Glasgow

Our Ceremonial Matcha is made from the Saemidori cultivar, grown in Kagoshima, southern Japan. The region’s volcanic soil, warm climate and abundant rainfall create ideal growing conditions for Japanese green tea.

Saemidori is prized for its naturally vivid green colour, smooth texture and balanced sweetness, with rich umami and very little bitterness.
